The DECIDE Call for replicants, which has closed on 31 May 2021, lead to the successful selection of eleven DECIDERs with diverse geographical and thematic distribution. The cooperation between DECIDERs, DECIDE pilots and the DECIDE consortium is going to be kick-offed on 15 July.
The DECIDE Call for replicants aimed for energy communities or collective energy actions from EU Member States or associated EU countries, who want to actively participate in the DECIDE project. The internal assessment and consultation of the DECIDE consortium led to the successful selection of eleven DECIDERs with diverse geographical and topical distribution, e.g., energy management in buildings, sustainable mobility, collective self-consumption, sustainable heating system, “power farming”.
The selected DECIDERsare:
- Prague City: Prague Climate Plan, Czech Republic
- Numbat GmbH: Schnellladenetz Allgäu, Germany
- Alpine Pearls: RECAP - Renewable Energy Communities for the Alpine Pearls, Austria
- Coopérnico, Cooperativa de Desenvolvimento Sustentável CRL: Condomínio da Torre - Malha 15.3’s collective self-consumption, Portugal

The cooperation between DECIDERs, DECIDE pilots and the DECIDE consortium has been kicked-off on mid of July with the so-called Coffee Shop, which is an element of the DECIDE Knowledge Hub. The Knowledge Hub is an online space in line with the DECIDE goal to actively transfer knowledge and build capacity on Energy Communities and Collective Actions. This Gateway serves regulators and policymakers, facilitators and energy community enables, (potential) Energy Communities /collective action initiators, directing visitors to the existing and emerging initiatives most suited to their needs, providing links to repositories, marketplaces, databases, platforms and projects among others.
With the DECIDE Coffee Shop, we will offer a virtual space and a self-moderated process that allows existing and evolving communities and collective actions (pilots and DECIDERs) to meet informally and mutually benefit from their experiences. This process of knowledge exchange and blended learning shall accelerate the process and boost the quality of initiatives that institutionalize collective approaches to a future sustainable energy supply and consumption system[B2] . Mid of July the kick-off meeting of the DECIDE Coffee Shop will take place, with a focus on getting to know each other, but also to foster the ongoing exchange and provide insights in our joint transitioning towards our future energy system. Afterwards, in a first Coffee Shop meeting mid of August, the innovation process within the Coffee Shop will be activated.
On 15 July the kick-off meeting of the DECIDE Coffee Shop took place with DECIDERs, pilots and the DECIDE consortium. In the first part of the meeting DECIDE, the Knowledge Hub and the Coffee Shop concept were introduced, followed by a feedback session on the Coffee Shop concept. The aim was to collect feedback for the following activities within the Coffee Shop. The second part of the meeting focused on getting to know each otherand provide insights in our joint transitioning towards our future energy system. Therefore, all pilots and DECIDERs shortly introduced themselves and their expectations with a short presentation. Within the last part of the meeting pilots and DECIDERs could start their conversation in sub-groups.
The official first Coffee Shop meeting with DECIDERs, pilots and the DECIDE consortium will take place on 19 August, where the innovation process within the Coffee Shop will be activated.
